Overview for Fire Safety

A brief description about this Activity.

A theoretical and practical session to support learners to understand the theory of combustion and how fire travels through a building. The content looks at the precautions to take to prevent fire breaking out, the various types of evacuation procedures and how this relates to their workplace. Learners will consider the causes of fire in the home and workplace and how to avoid them. Learners will look at how to extinguish fires using different types of extinguishers available and the use of fire blankets. Learners will discuss how to protect themselves and others if caught in a fire situation
