A brief description about this Activity.
This course is dedicated to aestheticians and beauty therapists (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) who already is level 5 qualified in lasers, as well as health care professionals such as doctors, dentists, and nurses who would like to expand their list of services to their clients. This course as all our courses is evidence-based. As specified by Health Education these qualifications do not have to be completed at a university, rather by any accredited training provider. Commissioned by the Department of Health the reports set out capability necessities for professionals who perform these types of treatments regardless of any previous training they might have had or their professional background.These prerequisites are pointed at guaranteeing that individuals are trained in the use and application of any devices that they use in this manner making beyond any doubt that patients safety comes first.The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners has now assumed responsibility for designing and implementing a new voluntary Register to support the enactment of these standards.These qualifications are in line with BMLA guidelines.What would you learn from this course? Non-ablative and ablative laser treatments Non-ablative and ablative laser wavelengths and pulse duration Applications of non-ablative lasers Ablative laser treatments The difference between fractional and non-fractional application of the laser Aftercare, possible side effects, and infection control Skin preparation Able to select appropriate laser equipment to suit client skin Able to use products, tools, equipment, and techniques to suit clients treatment needs Able to record and evaluate the results of the treatment How to deal with an adverse event or accidental exposureAfter online learning, you will be asked to complete an online quiz to review the theory. We are asking to provide 5 case studies to complete the course and short video of you providing consultation and treatment. When you need a practice we can arrange it separately. This course is supported by learning materials and documentation templates.
