A brief description about this Activity.
Eco-anxiety is a rapidly increasing psychological and social issue, on the rise in children, young people and adults. Eco-anxiety is often the first emotional response as people begin to wake up to the growing climate and biodiversity crisis, but other complex feelings are also frequently identified including grief, anger, fear, guilt, shame, depression, frustration and helplessness at the growing environmental problems alongside apparent lack of action in the world. This course will give an overview of the psychological effect of the climate and biodiversity crisis, explore how we defend against the personal, psychological and collective threats it presents, how it is affecting people and increasingly emerging in our practices, and then examine how we can approach this therapeutically, creatively and soulfully.
