Overview for Advanced Skin Analysis

A brief description about this Activity.

Skin analysis is carried out to determine the following points: To evaluate which product to use To decide which treatment to use To decide treatment protocol To decide which product to sell for home care and maintenance To decide home care protocol So why, if we follow these points are the treatment programs we perform less than successful? Why do we not get the 110% result that our clients expect and we had hoped for? What have we failed to do? By not establishing cause and effect of the clients skin condition, and only treating the symptoms is the main reason for our lack of success. Without establishing cause and relating it’s effect to skin structure and function of the problem, the wrong treatment program can be often chosen and the skin is not treated correctly and thus unresponsive. The cause and knowing the subsequent effects on the skin structure and function is the basis of this new skin analysis procedure you will learn. Linking skin structure and function to skin condition ensures correct skin analysis. This knowledge can then be linked to product composition and the end result is a correctly chosen treatment program. The looks, touch, feel and record findings approach to skin analysis is no longer enough to fully diagnose a skin, although this technique is still included in this newer advanced skin diagnosis procedure. This manual will update your knowledge on the structure and function of skin and the related systems for each skin condition. The procedures in this manual will teach you to think and see three dimensionally when analysing the skin; allowing you to gather more information than you have before.
