A brief description about this Activity.
Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical injectable treatment used to safely and effectively reduce the appearance of thread veins, spider veins, and small varicose veins. A sclerosing solution is carefully injected into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and be naturally reabsorbed by the body over time, leaving the skin clearer and smoother. It’s a popular treatment for both aesthetic and minor medical concerns, typically performed on the legs and occasionally on the face. Results develop gradually over several weeks, with minimal downtime and long-lasting effects. To enrol on this course, students must meet the following entry requirements: - Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Anatomy & Physiology or equivalent. - Hold a Level 3 Beauty Therapy, Nursing, or Medical qualification (or be a qualified aesthetic practitioner, nurse, doctor, dentist, or prescribing pharmacist, depending on insurance provider guidelines). - Have a good understanding of basic injection techniques (if applicable). - Be aged 18 or over.
