In this vital training, delegates will learn the concept of Dual Disorders in Psychiatry and General Medicine in conjunction with the key elements and models used in dual disorders diagnosed patients. Also considered and discussed is the essential treatment of dual disordered diagnosed patients, utilizing different methodologies of care including Western therapeutic approaches and Eastern Medicine components such as Auricular Acupuncture, Chromotherapy, Diets, Energy and Spiritual work among others. Among the multifarious aspects of treatment of dual diagnosis, the key aspect of personal and professional development is explored, incorporating interpersonal skills, verbal, and written presentation skills. Attendees will learn about the importance of integration of family and friends when treating adolescents, adults, and geriatric population, and will discuss the importance of Supervision when managing patients with Trauma (Physical, Emotional, Sexual, Spiritual Trauma). The issue of explore triggers for periods of isolation presented by patients during the course of care – from Assessment and Care to future prevention.
