Overview for Exploring Sibling Dynamics in Teams and Organisations with Val Parker

A brief description about this Activity.

Following her very well received two-day training on how siblings shape our lives, Val will focus this training on how sibling dynamics infiltrate into organizational life. Using ideas explored in her recent book A Group-Analytic Exploration of the Sibling Matrix: How Siblings Shape our Lives, Val will invite you to consider how aspects such as structure, hierarchy, power, authority, and leadership impact on teams and individuals. You will be encouraged to reflect not only on how sibling issues such as envy, rivalry, resentment, and competition may be generated, but also how collaborative and respectful ‘sibling’ teamwork can be fostered. During the day there will be many opportunities to work in small groups to discuss with others how sibling dynamics affect your work and community life, how your personal sibling issues are triggered, and how understanding these links may help you and those around you to thrive better.
