A brief description about this Activity.
Having a fully trained and designated Fire Marshal/Warden at work is an important part of fire safety. The Fire Marshal/Warden works together with the employer to ensure that fire safety measures and evacuation procedures are in place and effective. This CPD Health & Safety Workshop covers both the theoretical knowledge and hands on practical skill required to be a qualified Fire Marshal/Warden. The course will inform the learner about legal duties, causes of fire, role of the Fire Marshal/Warden, the fire triangle, fire classification, different types of fire extinguisher and how to use, fire blanket and how to use, fire extinguisher checks, how fires spread, fire risk assessment, high risk areas, safety signs, what to do in the event of a fire, PEEPs, progressive and immediate evacuation, fire compartments, fire doors, and moving and handling with evacuation equipment. This course also covers everything that would be covered in a Fire Safety course, and so there is no need for Fire Marshals/Wardens to take both courses.
