Overview for Immediate Life Support (ILS)

A brief description about this Activity.

The Immediate Life Support course is a one-day course provides the essential skills and knowledge for the initial management of a critically ill patient, Identifying causes and management of cardiac arrest until a cardiac arrest team arrives. During the one-day course the student will develop the skills and knowledge in the following: National Early Warning Score ABCDE Patient Assessment Basic Life Support including Recovery Position Advanced Airway Management and Suction Defibrillation – Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Bag Valve Mask technique and Oxygen Administration Management of a Choking Patient Post Resuscitation Care Anaphylaxis Management The Immediate Life Support course is run in accordance to the ILS Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines 2021, and is a practically delivered course.
