Overview for Learn NLP for a richer life with a lot less stress – Dr Stephen Simpson

A brief description about this Activity.

Neurolinguistic programming is commonly referred to as NLP. It is defined as “a therapy designed to alter behaviour by reprogramming unconscious patterns of thought.” NLP was co-created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the early 1970s. They both worked in San Francisco. Bandler was a post graduate computer programmer, and Grinder was an academic expert in linguistics. They were both brilliant in their individual fields and when they combined their considerable skills the result was NLP. Hundreds of thousands, and maybe millions of people have been trained since then, and these graduates come from all walks of life including Presidents and stars of stage, screen and sporting arenas. What they share in common is that NLP has literally changed the way they think about themselves and the world around them. In a nutshell Bandler and Grinder were fascinated by individuals who produced results far beyond their peers. Their premise was if they can do that then so can we. We just need to discover their secrets. Bandler and Grinder forensically studied people like Virginia Satir, Fritz Pearls, and Professor Milton Erickson. Satir was a distinguished family health therapist, Pearls was the creator of gestalt therapy, and Erickson was a medical doctor and widely regarded as the father of modern medical hypnosis. Their preliminary conclusions were that these therapists were very different in the way they used language, and the way they used their body language. Individually none of them were aware of these differences and also struggled to explain why their methods were so successful in comparison to others. The best they could come up with was that they felt their intuitive skills were particularly strong. Erickson regarded hypnosis as the entry point to the unconscious mind, but not the only one. They all agreed that the unconscious mind was far more important than the conscious mind. This three hour seminar will explore the major concepts of NLP and modelling is an example. Modelling is the identification of the critical success factors in any area of life that leads to excellence. Therefore it is guaranteed this seminar will be very relevant to where you are in your life right now and where you want to go, and how to get there. We will explore powerful language patterns and how to use them, and perhaps more importantly, the patterns to avoid. We will explore the unconscious mind, and particularly the part that is sometimes called the reptilian brain. The concepts of neuro plasticity and myelination will be particularly important. When you have been trained by Richard Bandler, as I have to an advanced level, you soon appreciate that hypnosis is an incredibly powerful component of NLP. Compared to other methods hypnosis is the easier and faster way to make changes in your own life as well as in others. This webinar will be highly interactive and will include several individual and group demonstrations. Hypnotic elements will be used throughout the webinar to stimulate the unconscious mind and start reprogramming and installing success strategies. More accurately, we will restore your brain- which is the most miraculous organ of your body – to how it was before other people and events started interfering with it. As a result: You will discover how to stay calm under pressure and make cleaner decisions. NLP will help you to grow in confidence and boost your self-esteem. You will learn how to use language more skilfully with the result that your powers of influence and communication will rise to at least the next level. These are all multifunctional skills that can raise your performance in both your personal and professional life, and your hobbies and interests. NLP will be the catalyst to ignite and unleash your hidden creative gifts.
