The course provides healthcare professionals with an in-depth knowledge, skills and awareness on how to support male and female patients who need support in monitoring and managing of their urinary drainage system using various evidence based clinical interventions in handling, inserting and changing catheters. All healthcare professionals attending this training must fully understand the human anatomy of both females and males and the risks associated with catheterisation and the importance of following organisational infection control and health and safety protocols and policies.
