Overview for Polynucleotides (CPD)

A brief description about this Activity.

The Polynucleotides training course equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely and effectively perform polynucleotide treatments. Prior to attending the college, learners are provided with comprehensive training resources to study. At the college, the course begins with a theory recap, foundation knowledge assessment, and a live demonstration by an industry professional. Learners then participate in a practice observation session where they perform the treatment under supervision. Key competencies include demonstrating proper health and hygiene practices, correct preparation, precise injection techniques, and the safe disposal of sharps and hazardous waste. Minor errors during the session will be addressed through oral questioning to confirm knowledge. However, if a learner fails to demonstrate the correct injection technique, they will be deemed non-competent, provided with an action plan, and required to return for additional practice and reassessment. This structured approach ensures that all learners meet the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This course is suitable for both medics and non-medics. You can enrol on this training course if you meet one of the following • NVQ level 3 beauty therapy, ITEC or HND • Medically qualified as a nurse, doctor, dentist with current registration with the NMC, GMC or GDC. • 12 months of needling experience • 6 months of injecting or needling experience As part of the enrolment process, learners are required to upload their previous qualifications. Additionally, an enrolment call will be conducted to verify the learner's identity, qualifications, and proof of address. This process ensures that the correct individual is attending the course and that they possess the foundational knowledge necessary to undertake this new, related skill.
