A brief description about this Activity.
3 day Course which is designed to equip all participants who work with people who present with violence and aggression towards others because of various reasons and circumstances with knowledge , awareness and skills to safely manage such presentations using,verbal and non- verbal safe therapeutic interventions to maintain everyone's safety . Compassion Care Training Ltd (CCT) strongly encourages participants and organisations to use verbal de-escalation and safe break-away techniques and any other therapeutic interventions they teach as the first resort and 'Any form of physical intervention' such as restraint as the LAST RESORT in line with the Care Quality Commission (CQC)Reducing Restraint Networks (RRN) and National Institute Of Clinical Excellence 9NICE) that all organisations and staff managing violence and aggression must refrain from causing deaths by positional asphyxia mostly evidenced through research as caused by aggressors being put in uncomfortable positions or prone restraints rather than supine. All candidates attending our training are strongly advised to seek robust inductions and follow organisational policies in their place of work
