Overview for SABR Prostate Planning, in Eclipse™

A brief description about this Activity.

SABR Prostate Planning in Eclipse™ is a comprehensive training designed to showcase the use of various tools within the Varian Eclipse™ planning system to create Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) plans for prostate cancer. This training combines theoretical and practical components, following a structured approach based on a prostate SABR planning workflow. Topics covered include fundamental SABR concepts, exploration of globally applied SABR protocols (PACE Protocol & RTOG), pre-planning procedures, contouring, dose schemes, optimization, calculation, plan evaluation, and discussion of clinical goals and objectives. This side-by-side training aims to promote rapid skill acquisition in SABR prostate planning using VMAT techniques, in Eclipse. Additionally, the course aims to equip participants with the ability to create high-quality SABR prostate plans in a simple and efficient manner, ensuring both clinical effectiveness and ease of execution. With a hands-on planning component, participants will engage in practical planning exercises, working through three clinical SABR prostate cases. These cases will be used to discuss planning strategies, dose constraints, and clinical goals within Eclipse™ TPS.
