A brief description about this Activity.

• The aim of this course is to enable the candidate to effectively deliver Manual Handling Training • To find and evaluate the legislation which affects: Individuals, their jobs, their employer and other employees. • To show and teach the principles of biomechanics and ergonomics. • To evaluate unsafe lifting practices • To demonstrate manual handling techniques and the safe use of the hoist/manual handling equipment • Using different teaching and training techniques • Using the correct paperwork legal requirements • Understanding legal requirements for health and safety • The ability to assess good practise and poor practise for moving and handling • To support students with realising and measurable learning outcomes • The importance of using lesson planners The course is suitable for individuals who have practical experience of moving and handling of individuals in health and social care.
