Overview for Treatment of Eating Disorders in a Clinical Setting

A brief description about this Activity.

In a very pervasive era clinicians who work in the addiction space and have been successful with their own sobriety often times believe the abstinence model is the way to manage an eating disorder. This module will explain how and why eating disorders are treated differently than substance abuse, as well as learn ways to convey to clients how to honor and manage cravings. The role of the nutrition therapist in supporting clients will be discussed as well as debunking misconceptions that about food rules in the addiction field.
