Laser Health and Safety Officers (LHSO) Certfication

Learn how to make your laser workplace safe and compliant with International Laser Safety standards. The ANSI (USA) and the AS/NZS Laser Safety Standards both state that workplaces using Class 3B or Class 4 lasers require a trained Laser Safety Officer (LSO). Our version includes New Zealand-based health laws as they relate to the laser workplace. Clinics and medical facilities with Class 4 lasers require a Laser Safety Officer trained to oversee laser hazards and protect those who may be exposed - the risk includes laser plume, lone working, and physical hazards, as Lasers pose hazards to eyes and skin and are recognised as workplace risks.
The person who completes this training can then take on additional responsibilities and develop a laser safety management programme to reduce risk.
The pre-requisite is LSC Beauty or LSC Med Certificate.
