About This Activity
This CPD-accredited course equips aesthetic practitioners with the knowledge & practical skills to safely perform fat dissolving injections for localized fat reduction. Prerequisites include MBBS, BDS, or allied health qualifications, previous injectable experience, advanced anatomy knowledge, complications & anaphylaxis training, and up-to-date first aid certification.
The course covers adipose tissue anatomy, mechanism of action of agents like deoxycholic acid, client consultation, body shapes, BMI considerations, treatment suitability, common treatment areas, needle selection, subcutaneous injection techniques, and gridding systems to ensure accurate and even treatment.
Training includes lectures, demonstrations, and supervised hands-on practice on live models, with written, oral, and practical assessments. Participants will confidently perform treatments safely, obtain informed consent, manage complications, and provide appropriate aftercare guidance to clients.
