CPD Phlebotomy

This course will focus on teaching the proper techniques for safely withdrawing blood. Learners will gain the skills to perform blood withdrawal procedures, including the necessary steps before, during, and after the process. In addition, learners will acquire knowledge about the composition and functions of blood, as well as the venous anatomy and physiology. They will also be able to distinguish between arteries and veins. The course will cover the essential equipment required for venepuncture, the appropriate needle sizes, and the correct application of a tourniquet. This training will provide fundamental knowledge and techniques for Venepuncture, blood withdrawal methods, Health & Safety practices, potential direct and indirect complications of phlebotomy, and the proper use and order of blood collection tubes.
