About This Activity
Our Foundation CPD Dermal Filler Course is designed to provide beginners or those new to aesthetic treatments with essential knowledge and practical skills needed to safely and effectively perform dermal filler injections. The course typically covers:
Anatomy and Physiology: Understanding facial anatomy, key injection sites, and the muscles, blood vessels, and nerves involved in the treatment area.
Product Knowledge: Overview of dermal filler types, their composition, and how to choose the right filler for different treatment areas.
Injection Techniques: Step-by-step guidance on basic injection techniques, such as linear threading, bolus, and retrograde techniques, for achieving smooth, natural-looking results.
Patient Consultation: How to assess clients’ needs, discuss their goals, and create a tailored treatment plan, including managing client expectations and addressing potential risks.
Safety and Complications: Essential knowledge on how to avoid and manage complications, such as bruising, swelling, or more serious issues like vascular occlusion.
Post-Treatment Care: Aftercare advice and guidelines for clients to ensure optimal results and minimize side effects.
Hands-On Practice: Practical sessions with live models to develop confidence in administering treatments under supervision, ensuring safety and proficiency.
Final exam assessment to ensure knowledge has been learnt.
Prerequisite: To be able to join this course students must be a dental nurse, nurse, doctor, dentist, spmu artist, beauty level 3, phlebotomist, trained in micro needling or micro blading, or have done the start from scratch course enabling them to haved gained level 3 in anatomy & physiology previously
