About This Activity

INSPIRE is a first-of-its-kind mentorship programme combining structured research mentorship and surgical career guidance, with results published in JPRAS.
In 2026, we collaborated with industry partners to introduce an additional module focused on professional and systems skills, termed Beyond the Scalpel.
This module aims to enhance career preparedness and develop transferable professional skills, including human factors, leadership, innovation, and patient-centred problem solving. Entrants must be healthcare professionals or medical students, objectives tested with real-world assignments and quantitative tests that are submitted with pass marks. In class training assessed with real-world assignments and delegate participation that is assessed.
