CPD Phlebotomy

This CPD-accredited Phlebotomy course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely and competently perform venepuncture in a clinical or aesthetic setting. The course covers relevant anatomy and physiology, vein identification, infection prevention and control, use of equipment, sharps safety, and correct blood collection techniques. Learners will develop confidence in client consultation, consent, patient positioning, sample handling, and post-procedure care. Emphasis is placed on minimising risk, recognising and managing complications, and working within professional scope of practice in line with UK legislation and best practice guidelines. Successful completion supports safe clinical practice and professional development in healthcare and aesthetics.

Prerequisites for Enrolment: Learners should hold a relevant qualification in healthcare, beauty, aesthetics, or a related field, or have prior experience working in a clinical or patient-facing environment. A basic understanding of anatomy, infection prevention and control, and professional conduct is required. Learners must work within their scope of practice and comply with insurance and regulatory requirements.
