Virtual Stylist Program

The virtual stylist certificate program has been developed for aspiring personal stylists or current stylists who want to overcome geographical limitations and work with clients worldwide using virtual styling and color analysis techniques.

The program offers students the opportunity to learn the core components of personal styling and the techniques for providing these services through virtual technology. Students will learn how to analyze clients through video calls, how to ensure accuracy, and a step-by-step guide to conducting the service virtually. They will learn the best technology to use and are provided with our exclusive digital tools that they can customize and use for their virtual styling clients.

There are no prerequisites for enrolling in the course; however, prior knowledge of personal styling can be advantageous. If a student has no prior knowledge, they can still enroll, but it may take them longer to complete the program. By the completion of the program, students will be able to accurately complete foundational personal styling skills virtually. This includes the assessment of the client, determination of body shape and basic color season, personal shopping, and closet detox. They will know how to utilize digital tools to assist with their virtual services and know the best practices to ensure a high standard of services. The course is taught through a combination of video tutorials, e-book learning, interactive quizzes, and practical exercises. All students are required to complete practical exercises to gain hands-on experience and receive feddback and guidance from their tutor. In addition to the practical exercises, students must complete a multiple-choice theory exam and a practical exam. The practical exam requires students to accurately complete a virtual style consultation for a practice client and a virtual color analysis. Students have access to tutor support throughout the program to answer any questions and provide additional support and guidance as needed.
