We looked for the legal entity behind the website on the home, CPD For Providers and How the Process Works pages, and in the footer. These pages name the business as "CPD Global Standards" and give a head office at The Courtyard, 2 Earl Road, Handforth, Cheshire, SK8 6GN; no registered company or company number is displayed on them. The Contact, Privacy Policy and terms pages returned a server error and could not be reviewed. Companies House lists CPD GS GROUP LTD (16455016), a private limited company incorporated on 17 May 2025, with its registered office at 2 The Courtyard, Earl Road, Handforth, Cheshire, SK8 6GN. The register shows the company as Active with an active proposal to strike off; a First Gazette notice for compulsory strike-off was filed on 25 August 2026, and the first confirmation statement, due by 30 May 2026, is shown as overdue. Companies House lists two directors and two persons with significant control, each holding more than 25% but not more than 50% of shares and voting rights. The How the Process Works page describes a five-stage process in which submissions are "reviewed by our expert assessors within 30 days" against quality benchmarks listed as content accuracy and relevance, measurable learning outcomes, instructional design and engagement, and evidence of impact and learner support. The CPD Framework, Assessment Policy, pricing, Privacy Policy, terms and CPD Industry Directory pages returned a server error and could not be reviewed, so criteria, pricing, terms, privacy, complaints and verification arrangements are not recorded here. The site is served over HTTPS.
The How the Process Works page states that "Every application is independently assessed by qualified CPD specialists", and the CPD For Providers page states that the review covers "your course content, learning objectives, assessment strategy". On approval, providers receive "a CPD certificate of approval and digital trust mark" and are added to an Accredited Provider Directory. We looked for a unique accreditation number for each accredited activity on the pages reviewed and did not find one stated.
