We looked for the legal entity behind the website on the home, About Us, contact, Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy pages. The Terms and Conditions page at /terms-conditions/ names "CPD Signature Service Ltd", company number 16282957, with a registered office at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. A second Terms and Conditions page at /terms-and-conditions/ defines the provider as "[insert full legal entity name], trading as CPD Signature Service". The Companies House register shows CPD SIGNATURE SERVICE LTD (16282957), a private limited company, status active, incorporated on 28 February 2025, with the same registered office. Its previous name was CPD STANDARD SERVICE LTD, changed on 1 December 2025. The filing history shows a confirmation statement dated 27 February 2026 and accounts for a dormant company made up to 28 February 2026, filed on 10 June 2026; the next accounts are due by 30 November 2027. The CPD Accreditation Process & Standards page publishes the "CPD S.T.A.N.D.A.R.D.S. framework", ten principles each with a short description, and a three-step process of application, assessment and approval. The CPD Accreditation Fees page publishes a standard rate of GBP 175 per course per year, with a saving of GBP 25 per course at five courses and GBP 50 per course at ten, and states that "Accreditation is assessed individually". Two Terms and Conditions pages are published: one at /terms-conditions/ covering the accreditation service, use of the mark, fees, termination and refunds, and one at /terms-and-conditions/ covering membership, accreditation periods, renewal and use of accreditation marks. A Privacy Policy is published. We looked for a complaints or appeals procedure for the accreditation service on both Terms pages, the Privacy Policy and the Contact Us page and did not find one; the Privacy Policy's complaints reference concerns data protection complaints to the ICO. The Fees page lists "Individual CPD accreditation decision for each course" among the services covered. The Become Accredited Provider page states that approved providers receive "A unique CPD Provider ID" and "Online verification"; we looked for a unique accreditation number for each course and did not find one stated. A Certificate Validation page invites a certificate reference number to be entered. The Provider Catalogue page describes a directory of accredited providers; the fetched page showed a search box and no provider entries. The /terms-and-conditions/ page states that accreditation may be issued for 12, 24 or 36 months, with a renewal reminder about one month before expiry and automatic renewal unless cancelled. An ICO register search by the trading name returned no entry; a search by the former company name returned registration ZB900531 for CPD STANDARD SERVICE LTD at 128 City Road, registered on 17 May 2025; a search by the published postcode returned more than 100 registrations.
