Terms and conditions are published at
https://cpdiq.co.uk/terms-and-condition/ (accessed 6th May 2026). The document is headed "CPD International Quality – SERVICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CPD CERTIFICATION."
Upon review, the terms and conditions as published contain multiple references to the trade marks, systems, and published policies of a separate legal entity. Specifically:
— Clause 1.9 directs members to a privacy policy at
http://www.cpduk.co.uk/index.php/privacy-policy, which is the website of The CPD Certification Service, a separate and independent CPD accreditation organisation with no stated affiliation with International Quality Assessments Ltd.
— Clause 4.1 and associated clauses refer to the trade marks "The CPD Certification Service", "CPD Certified", and "CPD Member" as the "Company Trade Marks" owned by "the Company". International Quality Assessments Ltd does not operate under any of these trade marks. These trade marks are associated with The CPD Certification Service (cpduk.co.uk).
— Clause 5.10 and clause 5.11 reference the website www.cpduk.co.uk as the company's own website.
— The document carries an issue date notation of "1st JULY 2024" in the body text, predating the organisation's own website revisions.
These observations indicate that the published terms and conditions have been reproduced, in whole or substantial part, from the standard terms of The CPD Certification Service and have not been adapted to reflect the legal entity, trade marks, or commercial arrangements of International Quality Assessments Ltd t/a CPD IQ. As a consequence, training providers entering into a contractual relationship with CPD IQ cannot rely upon these published terms as an accurate statement of their contractual rights and obligations, because the terms reference the trade marks, systems, and policies of a different organisation. This is a material finding.
The terms do address the accreditation relationship (not merely website use), and cover duration, fees, renewal, trade mark licence, intellectual property, certification, data protection, and termination. The substantive structure would be appropriate for an accreditation service if adapted correctly.
