The Academy and Accreditation Terms state that "Sunshine Accreditation is a trading name of SUNSHINE OFFICIAL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16687297", with its registered office at 80 Apple Tree Close, Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton TA2 6FF. The company name and a UKRLP number also appear in the site footer. Companies House lists SUNSHINE OFFICIAL LTD, company number 16687297, as an active private limited company incorporated on 1 September 2025, with one director, who is also the sole person with significant control (75% or more of shares and voting rights). A confirmation statement dated 31 August 2026 was filed on 4 September 2026; the first accounts, to 30 September 2026, are due by 1 June 2027. The home page states that Sunshine Accreditation "is part of a wider network" and names its other brands, Sunshine Training (education, qualifications and training provider support) and Sunshine Equipment. Published information
The Course Accreditation Guide states that Sunshine "independently reviews training providers and their courses against clear standards for structure, delivery, assessment and learner evidence" and lists the areas a review will commonly consider: provider suitability, course structure, assessment, policies and safety, learner journey and ongoing standards. The Academy and Accreditation Terms define "Standards" as Sunshine's requirements "as updated from time to time". We looked for the Standards themselves and did not find them on the pages reviewed. The home page publishes six 12-month packages, from £99 for a single course to £799 for up to 30 courses, each including a £99 Training Provider Approval fee. Academy and Accreditation Terms (last updated 14 July 2026) and Student Terms are published; a Privacy Policy (last updated 8 June 2026) is published on the Sunshine Training website and linked from the footer. Section 17 of the Academy and Accreditation Terms covers complaints, appeals and escalation to Sunshine. The site is served over HTTPS.
The terms state that "Only Courses confirmed in writing by Sunshine as approved may be promoted as Sunshine accredited", and the Transfer Review page states that "Courses are considered individually". The home page states that the member dashboard shows the "member code, accreditation code, dates and remaining days of active accreditation". An Accreditation Checker on the Sunshine Training website allows searches by centre name, accreditation code or person's name. The terms state that accreditation plans have "a 12-month Minimum Term", set out renewal arrangements, and describe monitoring through document reviews, sampling and scheduled or risk-based audits. An ICO register search by the published postcode returned a registration, reference ZB350053, registered on 18 July 2022, that lists "Sunshine Official LTD" among its other names; searches by the names "Sunshine Official" and "Sunshine Accreditation" returned no entries. Advertising and claims
The home page states "SUPPORTING EDUCATORS AND TRAINING PROVIDERS SINCE 2016", "10+ YEARS SUPPORTING ACADEMIES", "21+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE" and "Over 86 accreditation members and growing", and carries the heading "TRUSTED ACCREDITATION". It describes the service as "Independent training provider accreditation for your own training courses". The Course Accreditation Guide states: "Sunshine Accreditation is private accreditation. It is not Ofqual regulation, an awarding organisation approval, a regulated qualification or a licence to practise."
