The Privacy Policy states that the website is operated by The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, "a registered company in England (Company no. 2949953)". Companies House lists GUILD OF PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY THERAPISTS LIMITED, company number 02949953, as an active private limited company incorporated on 18 July 1994, with its registered office at 320 Burton Road, Derby. The register shows four directors and a company secretary, and two persons with significant control, each holding more than 25% but not more than 50% of the shares. Accounts made up to 31 July 2026 were filed on 23 October 2026 and a confirmation statement dated 6 October 2026 was filed on 9 October 2026. The Privacy Policy states that the company also operates under the brands Beautyguild.com, Guild Gazette, Guild Training International (GTi) and My Time To Book. We looked for connected businesses on the pages reviewed; the brands named are disclosed by the company as its own trading names, and no separate connected business was identified. The Contact Us page gives a postal address at Guild House, 320 Burton Road, Derby DE23 6AF, a telephone number with a separate option for Guild Accreditation, and a general email address. The telephone number and email address also appear in the header of every page reviewed. The Contact Us page gives a named email contact for complaints, and the Copyright page names the Company Secretary as the contact for permissions. The Guild Accreditation Requirements page states that applicants must be qualified in the areas they wish to teach, have "at least 6 months' experience in each subject or treatment" and hold a recognised teaching qualification. The Terms and Conditions for Guild Training International (GTi) and Guild Accredited Training Centres set further requirements covering minimum practical training hours, tutor qualifications and Guild membership, certification, logo use, insurance and complaints. The Cost of Guild Accreditation page publishes an annual accreditation fee of £295 + VAT for UK schools and £350 for international schools, a student registration fee of £25 per GTi course, and a membership fee of £55 per year for tutors; the Accreditation FAQ states that there is an extra fee to accredit a school's own courses, without stating the amount. Website Terms and Conditions of Use, Terms of Business and a GDPR & Privacy Policy are published. A complaints procedure for the accreditation service is published within the accreditation terms, and the Contact Us page and Terms of Business set out how to complain. The site is served over HTTPS.
The accreditation terms state that schools offering Guild Accredited courses "must match exactly the registered name of the course as it is listed in the Training Directory", and the FAQ states that there is a separate fee to accredit a school's own courses. We looked for a unique accreditation number for each course or centre and did not find one stated. The Beautyguild Training Schools Register and the Training Directory provide public searches of accredited training centres and courses. The accreditation terms state that "Guild Accreditation is granted for a maximum of 12 months and is subject to review and renewal on an annual basis". An ICO register search by registration reference returned an entry for THE GUILD OF PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY THERAPISTS LTD, reference Z7555338, registered on 19 February 2003 and expiring on 18 February 2027; a search by the published postcode returned the same organisation.
