Formally IATSA Workshop. An Integrative Approach for Treating Sexual Addiction: This workshop serves as an introduction to the IATSA Model (© Jones, 2023) for treating sexual addiction and looks at the key building blocks used to successfully treat sex and pornography addiction. As the name implies, this in an integrative model which draws from outstanding work and theory from a number of recognised specialists in the sex addiction field including Alex Katehakis Ph.D, Dr Eddie Capparucci LPC, C-CSAS (Inner Child Model and Dr Allan Schore (Affect Regulation Theory).
The Inner Child Model was originally created by Dr Eddie Capparucci LPC, C-CSAS. This workshop expands upon this to examine the road to recovery from addiction by examining childhood based on three factors: Unresolved childhood pain points Inability to sit and process emotional discomfort Being emotionally undeveloped In exploring the Inner Child Model - our workshop offers a unique and interactive treatment approach that empowers individuals by helping them understand why they engage in addictive behaviours.
