Konnecting Wit Humanity Academy (KWH Academy) is a training initiative dedicated to equipping individuals with real-world skills for employment in shelters, outreach, and community support environments. The Academy focuses on preparing professionals who are both trauma-informed and job-ready, ensuring they can effectively support individuals with complex needs.
KWH Academy’s mission is to empower individuals and communities through accessible, culturally responsive, and community-led programs that promote education, skill development, and social inclusion.
The Academy offers micro-credential programs, including Shelter Support Worker and Intensive Case Management, which provide practical, hands-on training to support vulnerable populations such as individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, trauma, addictions, and other complex challenges. The curriculums are designed by an instructor who has direct experience working in Shelters and in Intensive Case Management.
KWH Academy is actively developing partnerships with non-profit organizations to create meaningful placement opportunities for students, strengthening workforce readiness while supporting agencies serving high-need communities.
KWH Academy is committed to ethical practice, equity, and continuous improvement, ensuring training remains responsive to community and sector needs.
