This event, ran by the North West Air Ambulance Charity, brings together colleagues from across the North West for an engaging day of expert perspectives, practical insights and meaningful discussion, with a focus on paediatrics in the emergency network. Through a combination of expert clinical presentations, patient perspectives and real-world case studies, the conference explores some of the most important issues facing paediatric emergency care today. Key themes include understanding the growing impact of e-scooter-related injuries in children and young people, practical approaches to the emergency management and transfer of paediatric burns patients, recognising and responding to non-accidental injury, supporting families through difficult conversations and breaking bad news, learning from patient and family experiences across the emergency care pathway, and gaining insights from specialist paediatric transport and retrieval services.
