Why should our audience join and what will they learn?
At this event, Charlotte Ravenscroft, who authored ‘Ready for Retrofit: an analysis of local skills improvement plans in England’ will present her latest report on the development of local retrofit skills. The new report, 'Closing the Retrofit Skills Gap', commissioned by Gatsby Foundation, Ashden and the National Retrofit Hub (NRH) is based on an analysis of local skills improvement plan progress updates (2024), and interviews with training providers.
We will also hear from North East Institute of Technology and Abingdon and Witney College on their progress on delivering retrofit skills (speakers tbc)
The report considers key questions –
- What is the retrofit skills gap?
- What were colleges doing to close it during 2024?
- What policy changes are needed to get retrofit skills back on track?
The event will be chaired by Cara Jenkinson, co-chair of the NRH’s Working Group 3 - Workforce growth and skills development.
