About This Activity

The renewed Ofsted inspection framework introduced from November 2025 brought a significant change to the inspection notification process. One of the biggest differences is that there are now two separate telephone calls before the inspection, rather than a single notification call. The first is a brief notification call, followed later by a more detailed planning call of around 30 minutes. The planning call is designed to help the inspector understand the setting, discuss the curriculum and agree practical arrangements before arriving.
