This is a one-day, in-person workshop focussing on core skills essential for professional investigators. The day commences at 09:00 and ends at 17:00. The day includes an hour for lunch with short refreshment breaks in the morning and afternoon. Students will learn about the purpose and role of process serving, types of documents and methods of service, planning and preparing for service, legal and professional considerations, conducting service in practice, participate in a process serving exercise and common mistakes and best practice. The workshop will conclude with a review and close.

This is a one day, in-person core skills workshop focussing on practical, core skills professional investigators require for writing and presenting investigation reports to clients. The workshop commences at 09:00 with appropriate mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks. Lunch is provided. The day concludes at 17:00. Students start with the purpose and role of investigation reports followed by types of investigation reports and report structure, planning and preparing a report, legal and professional considerations and writing the report in practice. Students then participate in a report writing exercise followed by common mistakes and best practices before before review and close.
A one day workshop (09:00- 17:00) focusing on the practical application of OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) techniques in investigations, core techniques, legal and ethical issues, social media investigations, a practical exercise and common mistakes and best practice followed by review and close. Learners will gain an enhanced and / or refreshed understanding of up to date techniques and the practical applications and implications of this core aspect of private investigations. The day will include looking at OSINT in Investigations, core OSINT techniques, legal and ethical issues, followed by social media investigations after lunch. This is then followed by an OSINT practical exercise and, lastly a session looking at common mistakes and best practice with a review and close.
