The MindBody Syndrome (TMS) Practitioner (MBSP) course modality is designed to inform students about persistent chronic symptoms that fall under the category of MindBody Syndrome (neuroplastic pain, formerly known as TMS - Tension Myoneural Syndrome). These conditions develop as a result of emotional and lifestyle factors and are also called mindbody symptoms. This course helps students understand the link between mind and body with regards to the onset and persistence of such symptoms, teaching them how to identify triggers, beliefs and habits that could contribute to mindbody conditions, and introducing them to simple, research-backed processes that can lead to the elimination of such symptoms. The approach also involves introducing individuals to simple brain rewiring techniques based on pain neuroscience and neuroplasticity, to help overcome the conditioning process and eliminate modes of thinking and behaving (such as fear and avoidance) that may be responsible for the generation of symptoms. Students will also be introduced to simple relaxation and visualization practices that can help their clients regulate the nervous system and handle stress and anxiety more efficiently in their day to day lives. This modality focuses on a 100% psychological treatment, and does not deal with diet, nutrition or physical manipulation.
This is a specialist practitioner course based on evidence, science and proven tools and exercises for cognitive interventions, regulation of the autonomic nervous system, practical neuroplasticity to disrupt and rewire old habit loops, and positive psychology tools to support and affirm the new connections to thrive. The Mind-Body Connection Practitioner modules teach you: - how powerful the bidirectional relationship of the mind-body connection is, - how pervasive stress caused by limiting beliefs and negative mental conditioning can contribute to emotional, energetic and physical ailments, - how to combat stress using mind-body relaxation tools to calmly work with a person's mindset and belief system to rewire the brain and nervous system, - how to use positive psychology tools and exercises to affirm and strengthen new mindset shifts and neural wiring, and - develop greater conscious control and emotional resilience. Comprehensive and highly information, you'll practice and acquire plenty of exercises and tools to educate and support yourself and clients with. Help clients develop greater self-awareness about their habitual thinking and behavioural patterns that might be directly contributing to their unconscious reactions and chronic stress and how to disrupt those old patterns and rewire new ones using neuroplasticity. 4 Comprehensive modules include: 1. Mind-Body Connection – (Placebo, Breathing, Visualisation, Relaxation, Mind-Body Balancing Tools) 2. Modern Stress – (Autonomic Nervous System Regulation, Acute V Chronic Stress, Stress Reduction Tools) 3. Neuroscience for Coaches - (Mindset, Conscious/Subconscious, Habit Loops, Brain Hacking) 4. Positive Psychology for Coaches - (Flourishing, Strengths, Gratitude, Conscious Intention, Habits)
This comprehensive and immersive training takes a deep dive into our emotional world and autonomic nervous system states to better understand our safety and survival pathways and responses. Students will learn about the neurobiology of emotions and trauma, what 'regulation' truly means, and the evidence-based practices from a 'top-down, bottom-up, outside-in' brain framework to guide them in deeply supporting themselves and clients to integrate their thinking mind with the wisdom of the body. - Emotional processing involves consciously attending to our emotional experiences - both positive and negative - in ways that are adaptive, insightful, and aligned with our core values. This skill enables us to not merely react to our emotions, but to integrate and learn from them. - Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) regulation focuses on the body's innate ability to shift between states of activation and calm. Learning how our nervous system responds to stress, past traumatic experiences, beliefs, and emotional triggers, allows us to gain a mindful insight into how we can self-regulate and enhance our capacity for inner peace, stability, and recovery. An Emotional Processing & Nervous System Regulation (EPNSR) Practitioner can help clients stuck in chronic stress, protective and trauma patterns, learn about their own unique neurobiology and why they behave and react the way they do. Via science-backed education, body-based practices and emotional processing tools, this modality provides a pathway out of chronic stress, emotional reactivity, survival mode, and protective patterns that have been wired within the autonomic nervous system (brain, autonomic nervous system, vagus nerve pathways).
